21/01/12 - More courses
Well, we haven't actually done anything recently but the diary is getting full with up and coming events. More GCDS testing of course, KCAI seminar, a day doing some fun nose work, a Dog Law seminar, Crufts / PAT rehearsal and a Cocker seminar and that's just for starters.
08/01/12 - Birthday girl!
A happy big whole 2 day to Krumblino (and her sister Boo) today. Birthday sausages all round here.
14/11/11 - KCAI Member
Good news, I am now a member of the KCAI (Kennel Club Accreditation for Instructors) working towards my accreditation. Lots to learn but looking forward to it.
13/11/11 - Discover Dogs
We have just returned from a weekend at Discover Dogs in Earls Court in London. As usual we were flying the flag for Pets As Therapy and cocker spaniels in general. We met up with Toastie Dog (another orange cocker who is a PAT Dog) and our good friends Inky with Fiona. I did lots of fund raising with Krumble who was a little star, it was her first official duty as a PAT Dog and she excelled as well as the PAT Display with Muppet who needs no introduction. The girls also had an early Christmas present in the form of a HUGE new bed but they will have to learn to share.
27/10/11 - Stoodge Dogs
Today Muppet & Krumble when to the Kennel Club in Stoneleigh to be stooge dogs for people wanting to become examiners for the GCDS. Many people have helped me over the years so I thought it was time to give something back.
13/10/11 - Krumble passes her KC GCDS Silver Award
At last, Krumble has managed to gain her Silver Award. She has been consistent at all of the exercises for weeks and then at the last minute decides to wonder off! Anyway, last night she managed to stay put and she is now the proud owner of a silver rosette. Well done Krumble!
12/10/11 - a new family member
Not dog related for once. My lovely niece Aimee has just given birth to her second daughter, Iyla Grace, a little sister for Faye Raine. Congratulations to both you and James.
08/10/11 - Which hat?
Have been up to all sorts of activities, GCDS training, GCDS testing, PAT Assessing, Indigo Collar Tags, stoodge dogs for GCDS, microchipping to name but a few. Not sure which hat I have on today!
25/09/11 - UKA, Cheltenham
UKA this weekend, again with Indigo Collar Tags. It was wet & miserable so the girls spent most of their time asleep in the car, can't say I blame them!
17/09/11 - Paws in the Park
We have had a lovely weekend at Paws in the Park with our good friends Jon & Alison from Indigo Collar Tags. A very successful time was had by all, culminating in the purchase of a very large piece of PINK vet bed!
07/08/11 - Powerscourt Picnic 2011, Croome Park
We have just come back from the annual Powerscourt Picnic where we meet with all our cocker relatives and human friends. The weather was a bit grotty to begin with but it did not dampen our spirits. Photos can be found on the "photo" pages.
22/07/11 - I am the proud owner of TWO P.A.T. Dogs
We got confirmation today that Krumble is a PAT Dog too. I am really pleased as I thought it would never happen.
11/07/11 - Powerscourt Picnic 2011
The Powerscourt Picnic is well underway. This year we will be at Croome Park in Worcester. All Powerscourters are welcome, please contact me for further details.
08/07/11 - Pets As Therapy - Just Dogs Live, Peterborough
Come and say hello to us at Just Dogs Live this weekend. We are there on Saturday & Sunday flying the flag for PAT Dogs and catching up with good friends.
07/07/11 - I don't believe it????
Krumble has gone from managing a 5 second sit stay to a full 2 minute down stay with distractions. No-one will ever believe I am not using Muppet as a ringer!
03/07/11 - Pets As Therapy Pig Roast
We will shortly be on our way to Banbury for the Pets As Therapy Pig Roast. I am looking forward to it as I will see my good friends, Belinda & Tim with Toby & Phoebe, (more Powerscourt cousins) and the girls are excited at the prospect of a bit of pork!.
26/06/11 - We are "not" the only Powerscourters in the village!
Another Powerscourt Cocker has come to live in the village. His name is Alfie and this morning I managed to steal a quick squish. He is 8 weeks old and adoreable and I cannot wait 'til we see much more of him.
11/06/11 - Orange Cockers "do" Rally-O!
Muppet, Krumble & I took part in some Rally-O training today run by Tony Orchard. It was such good fun and amazing what can be achieved with a bit of chicken and some determination.
04/06/11 - I am now a GCDS Gold Examiner
Today I went to the Kennel Club building in Stoneleigh and sat my Gold Examiners course and I am pleased to say I have passed. Can you believe my first appointment is to test my dog club chairman, who is also a tester for the KC examiners course! Talk about putting me through my paces.
28/05/11 - Krumble passes her GCDS Bronze
Now there is something I never thought I'd say! Little Miss Ants in her Pants finally managed her 1 minute stay and gained her Bronze award. I am so proud of you KP
08/05/11 - Krumble placed in local show
A busy weekend for us. Today we attended the dog show run by our vets, AMV. Krumble was placed 3rd in Best Bitch, beaten by a chihuahua no less!! I entered Muppet in her 1st ever veteran class but she was the youngest by 8 years!
07/05/11 - More TTouch
Another trip to London for the 2nd part of out TTouch course. The girls were totally chilled by the end of it.

11/04/11 - Happy Birthday Muppet
Muppet is a big whole 7 today! I don't know where the time has gone! Happy Birthday beany. Love you soooo much. Also a happy birthday to Muppet's big brother Scoobie.
10/04/11 - Stoke Bishop Show
The girls came 5th out of 13 in Best Brace today at Patchway Show. They got a lovely ORANGE ribbon for their trouble. I was testing the KC GCDS. It was very hot and sunny and I even got a bit of a tan. A good day all round.
09/04/11 - Another TTouch Session
but this time with our friend Claire in London. Both Muppet & Krumble got a go this time and I ended the session with not one but two very laid back dogs! Thanks Claire. More info can be found here.

26/03/11 - TTouch Client Day for Krumble
Today we went to Tilley Farm which is the UK base for TTouch. Krumble and I had a session with one of the trainers, and loved it. I learnt so much in such a short period of time and Krumble loved it because she was absolutely shattered. Would totally recommend it - please follow the link.
12/03/11 - Muppet wins the HiLIfe P.A.T. Dog of the Year 2010/2011 at Crufts
She's done it! She's done it! My beautiful & priceless girl has done it. Muppet has been named as PAT Dog of the Year in the main arena at Crufts in front of nearly 10,000 people. I am absolutely thrilled and so proud of my special girl.
05/03/11 - P.A.T. Dog of the Year Final & Crufts
This time next week we will be in the collecting ring at the main arena at Crufts ready for the Hi-Life P.A.T. Dog of the Year Final. We are thrilled that Emily's family will be coming to watch as Emily was instrumental in the campaigning in 2009 and 2010. Also a huge thank you to everyone for your good wishes. Hopefully this will be Muppet's year!
01/03/11 - Busy Busy!
Lots of doglet things happening at the moment. Krumble and I are still working towards our GCDS Bronze, will she EVER stay I wonder? Mupps & I have started back at Gun Dog Training as well as doing Rally-O and we are also booked in for a T-touch course in London. Very exciting times.
18/02/11 - Goodbye Emily
Very sad news today as we have just said goodbye to Emily, a lovely young girl who Muppet has been visiting in Bath & Bristol for the past 18 months or so. Today we said goodbye. A very brave young lady who I am proud to have known. Sleep tight Emily.
12/02/11 - P.A.T. Dog Rehearsal for Crufts
Today we have had the run through for the Final at Crufts. We met 4 of the other finalists and of course caught up with our good friends Inky, Hamish, Coda & Biffo.
13/01/11 - Winter Spa Break
Muppet & Krumble have just come back from a very enjoyable 2 week winter spa break at Powerscourt HQ. KP has loved pestering all her relatives which meant that Muppet got so much needed peace and quiet.
08/01/11 - Krumble's first birthday
Well, she made it to a big whole one! Not sure how. You are no longer a puppy young lady so you need to behave now! Happy Birthday Krumblino.
10/12/10 - Powerscourt Calendar 2011
This year we have made a calendar featuring all of our relatives! We have surfing cockers, snowboarding cockers, autumn cockers and a whole gaggle of cockers. Thank you to everyone who sent in a photo and get your cameras snapping ready for the 2012 edition!
26/11/10 - RIP Toby (Powerscourt Higher Echelon), Muppet's Dad
A very sad day today, Toby, Muppets dad died. He was a true gentleman, typical of the breed and is the sole reason Muppet is as happy and easy going as she is. Run free at the bridge Toby.

19/10/10 - Muppet reaches the HiLife P.A.T. Dog of the year final for the 2nd year in a row
I am so pleased to announce that once again Muppet has beaten 4,700 dogs to the final 6 of the HiLife P.A.T. Dog of the Year competition. She continues to take everything in her stride and is a joy to own. Please vote for Muppet using the link on the front page.
15/10/10 - KC GCDS Examiner Course
I have now passed my Silver GCDS Examiners course.
12/09/10 - Frampton Country Show
The girls had a great day at Frampton today. Krumble came 5th in AV Puppy out of 27 and both girls came 3rd in Best Brace out of 16.
13/06/10 - Bowood Dog Show
Muppet, Krumble & I had a stand at Bowood Dog Show today. The girls had a parma ham bone each and I chipped 6 dogs so a good day all round! We also had a visit from Ollie, a Powerscourt relative, which was a lovely surprise.
05/06/10 - KC GCDS Examiner Course
Today I sat my KC GCDS Bronze Examiner exam and I am pleased to say I passed. It was held at the regional training centre for Guide Dogs for the Blind which as you can image was a great venue. We also had lots of lovely (if hot) dogs to practice on. Thank you to them and their handlers.
01/06/10 - Up and coming events
We have several things going on at the moment. I am sitting my examiners course for the KC GCDS bronze next week, the following week I will be Microchipping at Bowood Dog Show, Muppet will be PAT'ing and Krumble will be causing mischief! Plans are well underway for the annual Powerscourt Picnic at Blenheim Palace and I will also be going to the Bath & West Show, please say hello to us.
31/05/10 - Pets As Therapy at Bath Champ Show
Well, it was wet! Seriously, we had a great weekend despite the weather and Muppet and her other PAT dog friends drew in quite a crowd at times. Well done to all the COL people with their cockers.
18/05/10 - We have been busy!
Krumble has embarked on 2 sets of puppy classes and is coming along nicely although it is a constant battle of wills! We attended our first fun dog show last weekend, run by our vets. We did enter "dog the vet would most like to take home" but seeing as it was chucking it down with rain neither of them looked particularly appealing! Muppet will be doing her PAT duties at Bath Champ Show over the bank holiday weekend, please come and say hello.
13/03/10 - PAT Dog of the Year at Crufts
Muppet had her 5 minutes of fame in the main arena at Crufts today. Sadly we did not win but she was a star throughout and I am so very proud of her.
03/03/10 - Krumble has arrived!
Muppet now has a sister! Krumble (Powerscourt Perfect Picnic) came home today. She is another orange roan bitch who is very very noisy and is managing to keep both Muppet & I on our toes! She will have her very own page shortly.
15/11/09 - A very successful Discover Dogs
We have just spent two days at Discover Dogs for Pets As Therapy. We took part in the PAT Parade, raised lots of money and met two of the other PAT Dog of the year finalists, Bertie and Hamish McFee.
07/11/09 - I passed my mircochipping course
Today I have been on the pet-detect microchipping course and with the help of Jack and Eddie, two doggy volunteers, I passed my course. I will be available to Microchip as of 1st December.
20/10/09 - Muppet is in the final of PAT Dog of the Year 2009
Muppet has been shortlisted out of 4,500 dogs to reach the final of just 6! The winner will be announced at Crufts 2010.
